Breeze or Typhoon

"Breeze or Typhoon" is a the­at­ric­al show about the strength and light­ness of the air that sur­rounds us, Created and per­formed by Mafalda Saloio (Cir­colan­do), About the im­port­ance of living with air, which can be both de­struct­ive and divine! De­pend­ing on the geo­graph­ic, emo­tion­al and human luck of the draw, air can make us light and breezy or fear­somely typhoon-like.

A woman travels between lands, ex­plor­ing and breath­ing the air of new places. Pre­vent­ing cata­strophes, she teaches us how to live with this in­vis­ible soft and re­bel­li­ous form of life. What should we do when our heart races? When we're down? When the hustle and bustle of daily life squeezes the air from us?

"Breeze or Typhoon" is a show that teaches us how to be re­si­li­ent by cel­eb­rat­ing life. A "light­ness and wellness tech­nique" that offers home-made solu­tions to make everything simpler. This show was born from the theatre-dance project called "Lem­branças" (Memories), staged in 2005 and directed by cho­reo­graph­er Madalena Vic­torino, in which 16 creative per­formers took part. The desire to create "Breeze or Typhoon" was born from this "memory". A show about the beauty of simple things.
